...

Sometimes I feel happy coz it is over, but I know that it is not true. It will never end. Fear and a lot of different feelings... Cancer is not like a cold. You can't go to the doctor and after one week he/she said that's over. Every single day I am scared. Of course I try to show that everything is ok, but I feel like actress. I have to show that I am happy and everything is alright. I need to be strong for people I love...

After treatment...

After chemo, radio treatment is over. But r u sure? What will happen later? Well, I don't know. Anything could happen. We never know what will happen next day. We r affraid, we still think abt different things. Is it right? Is it good for us..?

http://policzmysie.pl/

Another very good site if you want to find out more about cancer, if you want to ask about something. At the very begging this site helped me to understand what does it mean, how can I help person I love, what should I do or what not to do. Of course every sinle person is different. But it's worth to read this website, maybe not everything, find something what you need now.

Rak'n'roll

It is very nice foundation, not so serious like lots of others. You can find here stories of people who got sick, a lot of events, help. You can find it on Facebook, Twitter or read more here: http://www.raknroll.pl/

Genetic Testing

Genetic testing to learn about your cancer risk is done only if you want. Doctors sometimes suggest patients to have genetic testing if others in their family had or have cancer. If someone close to you (mum,  dad) hav a cancer and cancer gene, you should do genetic testing.

Stage 4

Means that cancer has spread from where it started to another body organ (five-year survival 0%-25% treated patients).

Stage 3

Usually means the cancer is larger. It may have started to spread into surrounding tissues (five-year survival 25%-50% treated patients).

Stage 2

Usually means the cancer has not started to spread into surrounding tissue but tumor is larger than in stage 1 (five-year survival 50%-75% treated patients).

Stage 1

Usually means that a cancer is relatively small and contained within the organ it started in (five-year survival 75%-100% treated patients).

Stages of cancer

Staging is a way of describing the size of  cancer and how far it has grown. Most types of cancer have 4 stages, numbered from 1 to 4.

Beetroot

Some people with cancer drink beetroot juice. You can do it by yourself. I know opinions that it is not good for our health but I know good opinion too. What is the truth? To tell the truth: I have no idea.

Graviola

Graviola comes from a tree in the rain forests of Africa, South America and Southeast Asia. There is no evidence to show that graviola works as a cure for cancer. In laboratory studies, graviola extracts can kill some types of liver and breast cancer cellthat are resistant to particular chemotherapy drugs. But there haven't been any studies in humans, so we don't know if that's true. Person I know, drink graviolas tea. I don't know if it helps but not hurt.

West Pomeranian Oncology Centre

It is very big centre with about 8 buildings on this area. It is the biggest and main Oncology Centre in West Pomeranian area of Poland with very good employees (doctors, nurses etc). More information you can find here: http://onkologia.szczecin.pl/

Cancer is everywhere

Cancer is like a cold in the modern world. Many people are sick. And probably we don't even know about it. I realized how many people is sick when was in Oncology Center. From January last year in Poland we don't have limits in oncology. So I saw that doctors have e.g. 20 patients  with "numbers" and about 60 more without "numbers". It is really sad, that every single year more people have cancer.

Moment of rest

After few months of chemo it is a time to rest. Peson with cancer has time to feel stronger before radiotherapy will start. It is a time where you can see new hair on sick person head. And you can feel that this person is stronger and how grateful she is. Of course it is not end of treatment, not end of illness, but one part is behind, it is something really big.
